There aren't enough ballads anymore. They used to make a ballad out of anyone with even the slightest story. I guess Olivia Rodrigo did write a song called "Ballad of a homeschooled girl," which ruled. I'm all about mythologizing even the most mundane things. If you're not going to make your own life magical, then who will? Nobody. You have to romanticize the small things you do every day or else you'll wake up and 30 years have gone by and you forgot every moment of it.

Instead of going on a coffee run, you're seeing a sorcerer about an elixir of alertness. Instead of going on a "hot girl walk" you're consulting the sidewalk gods about self-transformation. Instead of commuting to work, you're riding the silver dragon to the money factory. It might sound crazy but it helps, okay? Another way to do that is to add some memes to your day.
